2023: The Year After The Transition Year

JANUARY 1, 2023

Fresh business model for Cove Public Affairs creates space for more clients.

Cove Public Affairs had the absolute pleasure of heavily focusing on the seafood industry for 5 years. While servicing clients in other industries, I was declining more and more interesting client opportunities. In the first half of 2022, I decided to quietly change my business model and return to my roots offering strategic communications counsel and support to a more diverse mix of industries, clients, and projects.

It meant parting ways with wonderful people and organizations who had trusted my advice through exciting and challenging times. But as I say goodbye to 2022 and welcome 2023, I am grateful for my decision and the new clients it has allowed me to work alongside of already. There are so many businesses, associations, and not-for-profits in this province and country who are creating and seizing incredible opportunities, facing tough challenges with courage, and creating a better future through passion and innovation. It is truly a privilege to be a small part of some of those efforts.

With this shift, I’ve also made an important commitment to set aside extra time for the two most inspiring people in my life: my two little girls.

Thank you to those who have trusted Cove Public Affairs, especially in 2022. Thank you to those who have offered wise and unfiltered advice. The interest in, and support for, my quiet shift to taking on more clients has left me speechless at times.

Wishing everyone a Happy New Year filled with health, happiness, and prosperity.

Let’s head into 2023 with thoughtfulness, determination, and optimism.
